Roofing Styles

A Shed Roof is a simple, one-slope roof; also called a lean-to roof.

This is a Hipped Roof which has 4 sides that all slope in to meet at a peak.
Gambrel Roofs ore often found on barns. The roof has 2 different slopes on each of the sides. the bottom slope is always steeper then the top one.
Mansard Roofs has all 4 sides and has 2 slopes. much like a barn but 4  has 4 sides instead of 2.
Saltbox Roof  is a variation of the gamble roof, originally created when a low lean-to addition was built onto the back of a wall house.

Gamble Roof is a roof with 2 sloping sides.
